Dear guests,
Arrival from May 30th is only possible with prior reservation. We are already fully booked at Pentecost. At the moment we can only accommodate vehicles that have their own toilet and washing facilities. Our public showers are expected to remain closed. We ask for your understanding. Visiting a restaurant requires prior reservation. Taking the dog on the terrace or into the restaurant is no longer permitted.
Spending the night in our parking lot in front of the barrier is only allowed for arrival and departure purposes. Our rental bathrooms are fully booked by the end of September.
As soon as we have more detailed regulations, we will publish them on our homepage.
Welcome to the Alpen-Caravanpark Tennsee
Relax in one of the most beautiful holiday destinations in the Bavarian Alps under Karwendel and Wetterstein. On our campsite and motorhome park at the Lake Tennsee you can enjoy fresh air, unspoiled natural surroundings and the panoramic view of majestic mountain peaks. Quiet mountain lakes, alpine pastures and the legendary Buckelwiesen are your immediate neighbours. You can create an active holiday with hiking, biking, cross country and downhill skiing, but also enjoy quiet hours. We are looking forward to your visit.
Opening hours
Our campsite between Garmisch and Mittenwald on the beautiful Tennsee is open all year round.
Entry and exit are possible from 7 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 10 pm.
The reception is open from 8 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 6 pm. Later check-in is possible in the restaurant.
From July 1st to August 31st, the reception is also open until 9 pm.


Tennsee shop
Daily fresh rolls, newspapers, food, drinks and camping articles (also on Sundays).

Key facts at a glance …
- Arrival is possible from 2:30 pm to 6 pm at the reception. From 6 pm you can register in the restaurant until 9 pm (except on Tuesday → day off)
- Departure is possible until 12 pm for the site and until 10 am for the apartments.
- Sizes of our pitches: Area A1: approx. 100 sqm, Area A2: approx. 80 sqm, Area B1: approx. 80/90 sqm, Area B2: approx. 70/80 sqm, Area Himmelreich: approx. 120/130 sqm, Motorhome port: 10m to 12 m length; 6 m to 6.50 m wide
- The electricity is charged according to consumption (per kWh).
- Dogs: A maximum of 3 dogs per pitch are allowed. A maximum of one dog is allowed in our apartments.
- The bus connections towards Krün, Wallgau, Mittenwald, Garmisch, Walchensee and Kochel am See are free of charge for all our guests with the Alpenwelt Card
- Lake Tennsee is a biotope that can fall dry depending on the weather and precipitation. There is the Grubsee and the Barmsee nearby, where you can swim.
- We serve warm food from 12 to 2:30 pm and from 6 to 9 pm. In the afternoon from 2:30 to 6 pm we offer cakes and coffee as well as a snack menu.
- We have 5 apartments with balcony suitable for a maximum of two people and one apartment without balcony suitable for a maximum of three people. The apartments/holiday flat are located on the first floor.
- Gas bottles are available in the Tennsee shop. There, the empty grey 5 or 11 kg gas bottle is exchanged for a full one. Outside shop opening hours, the bottles can also be exchanged at reception.
- Senior package: either a partner is 60+ or there is a pensioner’s card, then the flat rate for seniors applies.

Enjoy your camping holidays on our spacious site providing the latest technology. For your wellbeing we offer a pleasant family atmosphere, well-equipped sanitary facilities and a stunning mountain landscape near the Zugspitze.The Karwendel Alpine region is ideal for mountain biking and cycling for “young and old”. Our motorhome park is exclusive and comfortable, all at a reasonable all-inclusive price. You can use all the facilities of the motorhome park and dispose your tanks of waste. Electricity is charged according to consumption. Your location outside of the campground gates means you remain flexible even during closing times.
